At House of Talent by Rockschool we offer energetic streetdance classes for children in our own dance studio in Leiden. During the Streetdance Kids classes everything revolves around movement and music. We combine well-known tracks with tight steps, while the children work on their coordination, sense of rhythm and self-confidence. It is the way to be actively engaged and work together with others on a great choreography.
What do the children learn during the class?
In our dance studio in Leiden we teach the basics of streetdance in a way that suits the age of the group. In the classes we pay attention to:
- Basic techniques: learning the fundamentals of streetdance and modern dance styles.
- Rhythm and timing: learning to listen to the beat and adapt your movements to it.
- Group dynamics: together we work on a complete dance in which everyone finds their place.
- Performance: daring to show yourself on the dance floor.

Who are the classes for?
Our Streetdance Kids classes are for children who fancy an active hobby with tempo. The classes are accessible to beginners and to children who have danced before. We keep the groups challenging, but always focused on practice. For older dancers (secondary school and adults) we happily refer to our general Streetdance page.
Lessons from professionals
Our teachers work in the field themselves and have extensive experience in guiding groups. They know how to convey the technique clearly and ensure a high tempo in class. At House of Talent by Rockschool you learn to dance from people who know what is happening in the dance world right now.
